Today in class we continued watching the film gins, germs, and steel. Here are my notes:

  • Whats separates the haves and the havenots?
  • Why do white men have so much cargo and we in New Guinea have so little?
    • white men came in and took advantage of them
      • showed them new things
      • thought they were less "evolved" 
        • they are intellegent in their own way 
    • Why have so many sociaties advanced?
      • 1. advanced technologies
      • 2. large populations
      • 3. well organized work force
